The sparkling blue jewel of the Brookfield Parks system is the Brookfield City Aquatic Center. Located in the South City Park, the largest of the parks in the system, the City’s NEW Aquatic Center opened its doors Memorial Day 2017 and provides countless hours of recreation, instruction and heat relief for thousands. The Pool opens annually on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and will serve the public
daily (weather dependent) until August. Our staff provides certified and trained lifeguards for your safety as well as a fully stocked concession stand for those needing a snack or a cold drink. Swimming lessons and Water Aerobics are available, dependent on minimum class size requirements. The Pool is also available for rental for special events and private parties after normal hours, under the lights. We have hosted birthday parties (children and adults), Sunday School class socials, class and family reunions. Call our Parks and Recreation office at 660-258-5644 for details and reservations.
The aquatic center has a total water surface area of 4922 square feet that starts at a zero entry depth and finishes at the deep end, measuring 12’ 6”. A diving board, two water slides, children’s play structures, climbing wall, a current channel, and four shaded cabanas are seven of the 21 features available for the visitors to enjoy a day of fun in the sun at the Brookfield Aquatic Center!

Cabana Rentals
$10.00 per hour (2 hour minimum)
Yellow Cabana – 2024
We have revised our Cabana Renting for 2024. We absolutely wish to preserve this for groups who utilize it, but want to be able to have the space available at all times! Please see below for details.
If Cabana is NOT rented for the day:
– Ropes will be removed and cabana will be open seating for all!
– All regular rules apply: first come/first serve and only water allowed.
If Cabana has been reserved:
• No changes to rental pricing/procedure
– $20 for 2 hours
– Ropes will be put up around Cabana as seen in previous years.
– Must call and reserve BEFORE pool opens for the day. After opening, as mentioned above, it will be first come/first serve and we will not ask patrons to move and sit elsewhere.
– May bring outside food/drink or good from concession stand (all must be kept under cabana and disposed of properly in trash can)
