Greetings from the Mayor

As Mayor of Brookfield, and on behalf of the City Council, I would like to thank you for visiting the official website of the City of Brookfield. As you explore our site, you’ll find helpful information about city departments and the many services we provide. You’ll also discover details about our city’s amenities and facilities for your use and enjoyment. Additionally, the site includes valuable resources for area residents, including links to local businesses, churches, a community calendar, and city news. If you are new to our community, I encourage you to visit the Newcomer Information and Welcome Visitors pages.

We are proud of our community and all it has to offer. Brookfield is a wonderful place to live, raise a family, and retire. We work hard to preserve our heritage and the tradition of being a small town rooted in strong family values.

I am proud to be part of this great community, and it is an honor to serve you—first as a City Council member and now as your Mayor—representing my friends, neighbors, and family.

For those who may not know me, I’d like to share a little about myself. I am a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Meadville High School in 1984. I continued my education at Kemper Military School and College in Boonville, Missouri, and later served in the United States Army from 1987 to 1990, receiving an honorable discharge.

In 1995, I married my wife, Marla, and we made Brookfield our home in 1996. I began my career at Brookfield Tire, where I worked for 25 years, retiring as manager. Marla dedicated many years to the Brookfield School District, where she was a valued educator until her passing.

I have been an active member of the community through Park Baptist Church and the Brookfield Elks. Together, Marla and I raised five children and were blessed with six grandchildren.

After retiring, I continued my commitment to public service as a member of the Brookfield City Council. Today, I am honored to serve as Mayor and remain dedicated to supporting the community I have called home for many years.

It is a privilege to serve this community, and I look forward to working together to move our city forward in positive ways. I encourage you to stay involved and engaged. Please feel free to reach out with any suggestions or comments about our city and local government. Your interest, involvement, and concern for our community make all the difference.

Mayor of Brookfield
