Meet Your City Manager – Brandon Roberts

Brandon Roberts, Incoming City Manager
Brandon Roberts, Incoming City Manager

Brandon brings nearly 20 years of public service leadership experience to Brookfield, including key roles in emergency management, municipal operations, and government accountability. He previously served as Deputy Chief of Operations for the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District and as Director of Sunshine Law Outreach for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. Brandon is known for his transparent, collaborative leadership style and his commitment to data-informed, community-driven progress.

Brookfield operates under a council-manager form of government, which combines the policy leadership of elected officials with the managerial expertise of an appointed City Manager. In this structure, the City Manager is appointed by the City Council and serves as the chief executive and administrative officer of the city. The City Manager supervises all city personnel—except the City Attorney and Municipal Judge—and is responsible for carrying out the policies and procedures set by the council. The City Manager also represents the city in regional, state, and federal matters, as well as in local community initiatives.

As City Manager, Brandon oversees day-to-day city operations, manages personnel and budgets, implements council decisions, and works to ensure efficient, responsive city services. His early initiatives include conducting a comprehensive wage study, evaluating new revenue opportunities, and leading the development of a long-term strategic plan to support revitalization and community pride.

Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration from Liberty University, graduating with highest honors. He is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Public Administration from the prestigious Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
