CITY OF BROOKFIELD – NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL VACANCY
INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS
The City of Brookfield hereby provides notice of a vacancy on the Brookfield City Council.
Pursuant to Missouri law applicable to third-class cities, the City Council will appoint a qualified individual to fill the unexpired term. The appointed individual will serve until the next municipal election, at which time the position will be filled by a vote of the electorate.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a resident of the City of Brookfield, Missouri
- Be a qualified voter
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Meet all eligibility requirements under Missouri law to hold municipal office
Application Process
Interested residents must submit:
- A completed City Council Appointment Application Form
- A letter of interest (1–2 pages recommended)
A resume may be included, but is not required.
Applications are available at City Hall and on the City’s website.
