City of Brookfield Releases 2024 Consumer Confidence Report on Drinking Water Quality

April 18, 2025

Brookfield, MO – The City of Brookfield has released its 2024 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), which provides residents with detailed information about the quality and safety of their drinking water.

The report outlines where the city’s water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to standards set by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Brookfield is pleased to report that its water system continues to meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.

To ensure public access, the 2024 CCR is posted on the information board at Brookfield City Hall and will also be published in the Linn County Leadernewspaper on April 18, 2025. While the CCR will not be mailed to individual households, paper copies are available upon request at City Hall.

“We are committed to providing safe, reliable drinking water and full transparency in our testing and reporting,” said City Administrator Dana Tarpening. “We encourage all residents to take a moment to review the report and reach out if they have any questions.”

For more information or to request a copy of the CCR, please contact Brookfield City Hall at (660) 258-3377.
