About The Department
Brookfield Water Plant
210 North Brunswick
Brookfield, MO 64628
The Brookfield Water Department is dedicated to producing and delivering drinking water that is in compliance with all state and federal drinking water standards. We continually strive to adopt new and better methods of delivering the best quality drinking water to the citizens of Brookfield and our other customers. It is our commitment to incorporate these changes system-wide in an expeditious and cost-effective manner.
The Brookfield Water Plant is supplied by the Brookfield City Lake. It serves an average water demand of seven hundred thousand gallons daily. The treatment facility uses chlorination, fluoridation, filtration, and other chemical processes to comply with all federal and state primary drinking water standards. The Water Plant Operators routinely monitors our drinking water for potential contaminants. They are so dedicated to safe water that our own water quality laboratory has been established. This high tech lab allows operators to sample water, obtain results and conduct additional non-regulatory and process-control analysis.
Effective October 1, 2013, the City of Brookfield Public Water Supply System will be changing the disinfectant that we use from chlorine to chloramines. Click here to find out more.
