PRESS RELEASE

Through a partner relationship, the City Administration of Brookfield and WCA of Missouri, LLC. Is introducing a new service to the Brookfield residential community.

Beginning November 1st, 2017, WCA is rolling out a comprehensive recycle program to area residents that will allow for the “co-mingle” collection of various recycle products into one large recycle container. Residents will now be able to place paper products, newspapers, magazine & books, junk mail, plastics bottles, tin cans, cardboard, cardboard boxes into one container for service by a WCA service truck. No sorting is required. NO GLASS PERMITTED.  NO REGULAR WASTE TRASH IS PERMITTED.  Should we not follow the requirements, this privilege of recycling will be removed.

Every community has a desire to pursue environmental responsibility, but may not have had access to a user friendly or sustainable recycle program in the past. The time has now arrived and Waste Corporation has the program! Residents are invited to participate by bringing recycle materials to a central recycle site and place acceptable items into the recycle container for pick-up.

THE SPECIAL RECYCLE CONTAINER IS PLACED AT THE PUBLIC WORKS AREA ON NORTH BRUNSWICK STREET.  YOU MAY ACCESS THIS SITE BY USING THE SOUTH ENTRANCE.

Call WCA, 660-707-8000 or City Hall, 660-258-3377 for questions or information.
